To accelerate Singapore aerospace companies to upgrade their additive manufacturing skills, especially with regards to inspection and post-processing, NAMIC, the National Additive Manufacturing cluster implemented a specific programme with Matcor, a Cetim Company, to enable knowledge transfer.

Training Singapore aerospace companies in the implementation of essential technologies in additive manufacturing… Such is the mission entrusted to Cetim by NAMIC who in charge of promoting this technology within the city-state, as part of the Capability Transfer Program in Singapore.

In order to help companies of the aerospace industrial sector to improve their command of this advanced technology, Workforce Singapore (WSG), the branch of the Ministry of Manpower in charge of professional development, granted subsidies to Matcor, Cetim’s subsidiary in Singapore, for the downstream portion, i.e. from post-processing, controls to assistance in the aeronautical certification and qualification process.

As a result, Singaporean can take advantage of Cetim’s competence and experience in this field thanks to an unprecedented training programme in that region, implemented on site by Matcor and involving a group of French experts.

The 5 days’ programme includes modules dedicated to inspection (metrology, metallurgical checks, fatigue testing and cleanliness), post-processing (finishing, cleaning, heat treatments) and consultancy support for the full cycle including qualifications, all these with financial support from WSG.

The next training session will be held from 16 to 20 March
on Matcor’s premises in Singapore.

The Registration form and detailed information on the programme are available on Matcor’s website.
