- A New Path to High-Performance Cryogenic Tank Domes
A full-scale 1-meter TP dome demonstrator, built with our award-winning SPIDE TP® LATP platform using an innovative “cut and stepped” lay-up strategy will be display on our booth and on the JEC Innovation Planets.
Designed by our experts within the framework of the STOHYC project led by Airbus, this innovation overcomes the major defects commonly generated by conventional tape winding or AFP techniques in highly curved geometries. This approach significantly reduces voids, excessive overlaps and matrix cracking induced by cryogenic thermal stresses. By precisely tailoring fiber paths, it enhances material quality, dome tightness, and structural integrity under severe cryogenic conditions. Made from high-performance PEKK/Carbon thermoplastic composites, this breakthrough enables lighter, fully composite, linerless hydrogen tanks compatible with out-of-autoclave manufacturing, recyclability, and industrial scalability—demonstrating potential across mobility and industrial applications involving complex curved composite structures.

On DAHER’s booth, discover a highly Loaded TP Wing Rib for future aircraft programs awarded by the JEC, and for which Cetim designed and built a static engineering test bench as part of the validation process.
DAHER and its partners worked on an innovative design thanks to patented innovative processes to meet actual decarbonization and competitiveness challenges compared to current aluminum solutions.
