An innovative approach coupled with the ability to supply detailed results analysis helped Cetim win a contract to carry out fatigue tests on some 300 welded test pieces, as part of the OWA FaWS project.
Corin Group commissioned experts to carry out several numerical simulations paired with load tests in order to validate the fatigue strength of its new hip implants from the design stage, and was therefore able to go directly from prototype to series production.
The experimental study realized by Cetim aimed at determining the influence of the fatigue loading mode on the propagation velocity of circumferential transverse cracks and to evaluate possible scale effects.
Messier Dowty called on the experts in Mechanical Component Fatigue of the Cetim to validate the bogie developed for a heavier version of a long-range aircraft: a successful initial association which marks the start of other partnerships with this company.
